Suicide Blast in Yemen’s Aden Kills Four: Sources

A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden belt near a football stadium in the southern Yemeni port city of Aden on Tuesday, killing at least four people, witnesses and a security source said.

Ten people were wounded in the attack, which appeared to target young recruits, joining the Hadi militias, waiting for buses outside a military checkpoint in the city’s north, the witnesses and source added.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack but extremist militants have carried out similar suicide bombings in Aden in the past.

Such groups are not involved in a nationwide truce that started between the main warring parties in Yemen this week.
