A Saudi airstrike targeted Zatar Souk in Nehm district of Sana’a province, leaving 20 civilians among dead and injured in an initial toll, a security official said on Saturday.

The hostile raid destroyed a super market, three shops and two cars, and caused damage to the nearby houses, the official added.

Yemen has been under military attacks by Saudi Arabia since March 26. The Saudi military strikes were launched with the aim of undermining Ansarullah and bringing fugitive former president of Yemen, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, back to power.

About 8,300 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
