The missile force of the Yemeni army and popular committees fired on Friday a ballistic missile of Qahir-I type at Jizan Regional Airport.
In a statement, a military official confirmed that the rocket hit its target accurately.
Yemenis carry out these attacks in retaliation to Saudi strikes, launched with the aim of undermining the Houthi Ansarullah movement and bringing back to power the fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, a staunch ally of Riyadh.
Since Riyadh launched the airstrikes, about 8,300 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
