The Saudi-led coalition war jets launched on Wednesday several raids on Taiz province, targeting the eastern parts of the city.

Two airstrikes targeted the Republican Palace and al-Kamb area, which damaged tens of houses and nearby facilities.

Fighter jets also launched air raid on Dhamar province targeting al-Hesen area in Dhoran Anes district.

Areas in Mareb province were also hit by 15 air raids. Hilan Mountain, Wadi al-Melh and al-Ashqari area in Serwah district as well as al-Khaneq area and Salab mountain in Jadaan area were among the latest targets.

Yemen has been under airstrikes by Saudi Arabia since March 26 last year. The Saudi strikes have been meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and bring fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, back to power.

Nearly 8,280 people, among them 2,236 children, have reportedly been killed and over 16,000 others injured. The strikes have also taken a heavy toll on the impoverished country’s infrastructure, destroying many hospitals, schools, and factories.
