One person was severly injured in an airstrike launched by the Saudi-led coalition fighter jets on Bani Qais district of Hajjah province on Monday.

A local official explained that the coalition warplanes targeted an area near a school in Bani Qais district, leaving damage to property.

The airstrikes hit Abu Dowar School in Mastaba district, which led to the complete destruction of the building.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes have been meant to undermine Ansarullah and restore power to Hadi.

About 8,300 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi war has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.

Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
