A student was killed on Wednesday by a Saudi-led bombing on Ibb province.

The student was walking to school in al-Athareb area in Ba’adan district, when the area he was in was targeted by two Saudi airstrikes.

The Saudi warplanes also bombed al-Mahwa area in Assabrah district with four air raids and Sunan area between Ba’adan and Assabrah districts with two raids.

Yemen has been under military attacks by Saudi Arabia since late March last year. The Saudi military strikes were launched to bring fugitive former president, Abd Rabbu Mansur Hadi, back to power.

At least 8,278 people, among them 2,236 children, have reportedly been killed and 16,015 others injured since the military campaign. The strikes have also taken a heavy toll on the impoverished country’s facilities and infrastructure, destroying many hospitals, schools, and factories.
