Over the last 48 hours, the Yemeni Army’s Republican Guard backed by the Houthi Ansarullah movement and the popular committees have been steadily advancing at the Al-Jawf Governorate’s capital of Al-Hazm, capturing several hilltops overlooking this strategic city in Yemen’s northern countryside.
Earlier this morning, the Yemeni Army’s Republican Guard - in close coordination with the Ansarullah and their popular committees - seized the imperative villages of Al-Tabab and Al-Qulal after a fierce battle with the Saudi-led Coalition Forces and the Hadi Loyalists.
If the Yemeni Army and their allies seize this city, they will have effectively taken control over another provincial capital in southern Yemen; this would also alleviate some of the pressure on the large city of Ta’iz, which is currently under attack by the Saudi-led Coalition Forces and the Hadi Loyalists.
