The Yemeni army troops and popular committee forces attacked the Saudi army inside the city of Al-Rabia in Saudi Arabia’s Asir province, in further retaliation for attacks being carried out by the Saudi-led aggression.

According to footage, many tanks and armored vehicles of the Saudi forces were destroyed in the retaliatory attack.

Furthermore, the Yemeni army and popular committees bombarded on Thursday several Saudi sites in Saudi Arabia’s Jizan and Asir with rockets, killing a number of Saudi soldiers and destroying several military vehicles, a military source said.

The source explained to SABA that the missile force of the army and popular committees targeted a gathering of the Saudi aggression forces in al-Ramdha military location in Jizan.

Specialized units of the army and popular committees also bombed headquarters of al-Hajer with Grad rockets, the source added.

He pointed out that other Saudi military sites in the areas of Doud, Qaem, Zabid and Khouba were bombed, which resulted in large losses in the locations.

A Saudi-led coalition backed by the United States has been carrying out a military aggression on Yemen by launching airstrikes against the country since March 26 in a bid to restore power to the country’s fugitive former Yemeni president, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Saudi Arabia.

The airstrikes have not been authorized by the United Nations [UN].

As a result, the Yemeni army backed by popular committees and tribal fighters has been responding to the aggression by targeting several Saudi border military posts and cleansing several areas across the country from Hadi and al-Qaeda-linked militias.
