The Yemeni health ministry announced that the death toll from the Saudi-led aggression against Yemen so far is more than 6,000, adding that 1,277 of those killed were children.

The Yemeni health ministry said: "From the beginning of the aggression launched by Saudis and their allies against Yemen, 6,018 Yemenis have been martyred, 1,277 of whom are children and 1,041 others are women".

On March 26, a Saudi-led coalition backed by the United States began to launch deadly airstrikes on Yemen. The airstrikes have not been authorized by the United Nations [UN].

The aerial strikes have targeted dozens of hospitals and ambulances. In its latest air raids on civilians in Yemen, the Saudi-led coalition attacked a hospital run by the medical aid group Doctors Without Borders [MSF] in northern Yemen on Monday.

The US-led Saudi aggression began in a bid to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to the fugitive former Yemeni president, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Saudi Arabia.
