The Political Bureau of Yemen’s Houthi Ansarullah movement announced its full solidarity with the Lebanese people, leadership and resistance in the wake of the huge explosion that hit Beirut on August 4, causing a loss of dozens of lives and injuring many thousands more.

In a statement, Ansarullah offered its deepest condolences and sympathy to the Lebanese people and to the families of the martyrs, asking God to grant Lebanon patience and strength to overcome all challenges and difficulties, Al- Maseerah TV reported.

The movement also stressed that it stands with Lebanon in the face of all conspiracies targeting its economy, stability, unity and leading resistance.

It also condemned all the plots hatched by the global arrogance, especially the US and Israel, against regional countries.

Tuesday’s massive explosion in Beirut’s port has killed at least 135 people, injured 5,000, and displaced 300,000 citizens.

Officials linked the blast to hundreds of tons of confiscated ammonium nitrate that were being stored in a warehouse at the port for six years.

The explosion has also destroyed Lebanon’s silos that contain the national grain reserve. Lebanon imports up to 80 percent of its food needs and is particularly reliant on imported soft wheat to make Arabic flatbread. About 85 per cent of the country's cereals were reportedly stored in the facility.
