’Family of 10 People’ Killed in Saudi-led Airstrike in Yemen

A Saudi-led airstrike have killed a family of ten in Yemen’s Taiz Province on Saturday.

The Saudi aggression airstrikes destroyed a citizen’s home in al-Wazeyah district of Taiz province, killing a family of ten people, a local source said.

The aggression air raids also targeted two schools in al-Ma’qam and al-Dharifah areas as well as two houses in al- Wazeyah district, destroying them, the source added.

Also on Saturday, Saudi-led warplanes bombed a citizen’s house in Haidan district of Saada province in Yemen, killing four people and wounding ten others, a security source said. The Saudi-led aggression directly targeted the citizen’s house in Joma’at Bani Fadhl area and destroyed it, causing damage to the houses around it, the source further added.

The airstrikes also destroyed two houses and an ambulance car in Rahban area in Saada, which injured one person and damaged other houses, the source also said.

 

A Saudi-led coalition backed by the United States has been carrying out a military aggression on Yemen by launching airstrikes against the country since March 26 in an attempt to restore power to the fugitive former Yemeni President, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Saudi Arabia.

The airstrikes have not been authorized by the United Nations [UN].

 

 


The ’civilian’ death toll in Yemen has risen to more than 2,300 with more than 4,000 other civilians wounded in the fighting in the country that has raged for more than a year now, according to the UN recently last month [September]. Yet, other organizations put the death toll at much higher.
