In retaliation for the US-led Saudi aggression, Yemeni army forces and allied Popular Committees have killed a number of Saudi-led troops after launching several rockets against a military base in Yemen’s province of Ma’rib.

The Saudi-led troops, cooperating with Saudi Arabia in its unabated military aggression against Yemen, were killed during retaliatory rocket attacks by the Yemeni army forces and allied Popular Committees against the Sahn al-Jin military base late on Thursday, SABA news agency reported. The base is located in the oil-rich province of Ma’rib in west-central Yemen.

The attacks also killed an unspecified number of loyalists to fugitive former Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.

A Saudi-led coalition backed by the United States has been carrying out a military aggression on Yemen by launching airstrikes against the country since March 26 in an attempt to restore power to Hadi, a close ally of Saudi Arabia.

The airstrikes have not been authorized by the United Nations [UN].

As a result, the Yemeni army backed by popular committees and tribal fighters has been responding to the aggression by targeting several Saudi border military posts and cleansing several areas across the country from Hadi and al-Qaeda-linked militias.
