Member of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council Mohammad Ali al-Houthi accused the countries of aggression and their mercenaries of being behind the Yemeni people’s pain and suffering.

“The capital, Aden, Sana’a, Hodeida and Thamar have been living in darkness for five years because the aggression [Saudi-led coalition] and its tools are refusing to re-engage electricity in the gas power plant,” al-Houthi said in a twitter post.

He added that when the people turned to using alternative energy and buying solar panels, the Saudi-led coalition banned them from entering with no reason.

Al-Houthi also pointed out that people in Marib “are in a state of resentment over the deterioration of services, especially electricity and high prices” of comodities.
