Four People Killed in Saudi-led Airstrikes, Ground Attacks Over 24 Hours

At least four people were killed and three others injured when the US-backed Saudi-led coalition launched air strikes and ground attacks on several provinces of Yemen during the past 24 hours, according to reports combined by Yemen Press Agency on Friday.

Three civilians were killed and two others wounded in two airstrikes on 7-Yolyo area in Hodeida city. Another person was also killed in three Saudi-led airstrikes on Rahman mosque in Marawea district. Meanwhile, two airstrikes destroyed a residential house in Hali district.

In Saada province, a civilian was injured in a Saudi missile shelling at Ghafira area of Dhaher district.

Saudi Arabia and some of its allies, including the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, and Sudan, launched the brutal war in an attempt to reinstall former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi and crush the country’s popular Houthi Ansarullah movement, which has played a significant role, alongside the Yemeni army, in defending the nation.

Some 15,000 Yemenis have so far been killed and thousands more injured as a result of the bloody campaign which has also left a record 22.2 million Yemenis in a dire need of food, including 8.4 million threatened by severe hunger, according to UN statistics.
