Officials and witnesses say heavy fighting in Yemen’s  Hudaida killed over 30 civilians, including women and children, in the last two weeks.

Forces loyal to the ousted Yemeni leader Abd Rabu Mansour Hadi and backed by the Saudis and Emiratis have been trying to seize areas along the western coast from Houthis.

The fighting in the al-Tuhyta district, south of the key port city of Hudaida, has reportedly left 57 civilians wounded since the beginning of July.

The coalition has been battling the Iran-allied Houthis since March 2015. Saudi-led forces have been bombing Yemen for over three years, killing tens of thousands and wounding many others in the process.
