The Secretary General of Yemen’s Houthi Ansarullah Movement mourned the martyrdom of the president of the Supreme Political Council (SPC) Saleh al-Samad.

"The martyred president was killed on Thursday with six of his companions in a raid on Hodeida," Sayyed Abdul Malek al-Houthi said in a speech on Monday.

Sayyed Houthi explained that "the assassination of the martyr took place in the Khamseen Street by three raids of the aggression’s air force."

The Houthi leader stressed that "the forces of aggression, led by America and Saudi Arabia, bear the legal responsibility for the crime and all its consequences of it," adding that "this crime and other crimes will not pass without accountability."

Sayyed Houthi called on the Yemeni people to " actively participate in the funeral ceremony." He also called on "the people of Hodeida to take part in the demonstration the martyred president called for before his martyrdom."
