Saudi warplanes have bombed residential areas in the Saada and Hajjah provinces of Yemen, killing at least 10 civilians, including an entire family.

The Saudi air raids, which targeted the city of Ghamr in Saada on Friday, left six civilians dead. Four others, all members of the same family, lost their lives in similar attacks in the Abs city of Hajjah.

Both provinces are located in northwestern Yemen and have shared borders with Saudi Arabia.

In another incident, a civilian was killed due to Saudi shelling in the city of Mawza in Taiz Province, the al-Masirah television network reported.

Saudi Arabia has been leading a destructive military campaign against Yemen since March 2015 to reinstate former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi and crush the Houthi movement.

The campaign has seriously damaged the country’s infrastructure. In its tallies released in February, Yemen’s Legal Center for Rights and Development said the Saudi war had killed over 12,000 civilians, including 2,568 kids.
