Oil Specialists Confirm US-Saudi Aggression is Greedy in Yemen’s Oil and Gas

Yemen’s Almasirah TV channel conducted an investigative report in which the specialist in the oil and gas sector confirmed that one of the objectives of the coalition in targeting Yemen is because of the country’s oil and gas resources.

Abdullateef Al Dufri, the deputy of exploration and production for exploration affairs, confirmed that Yemen is at the beginning of its exploration age of oil and gas.

Aldufri added that the oil that has been produced so far is considered little in comparison with the geological age and performance of oil fields in other parts in the world.

He also added that the oil sources is concentrated in Jawf, Marib, and Shabwah stretching to Hadramout and Almhra provinces as well to the Red and Arabian seas.

He stressed that all Yemeni areas are still raw and need political and security stability only. It also needed providing the right environment for investment.

In addition, engineer Abdullah Alawawi, member of the operating committee for the Productive sectors in oil and gas said that “150 oil and gas sector spread from the empty quarter to the red sea and Socotra Island to the west coast.”

Al-Awawi added that Saudi Arabia and its alliance have prevented Yemen from using or benefiting from its oil resources, hindered the development of the economy and sabotaged the oil sector in the war-torn country.

He also added that there are investment companies that left Yemen and abandoned its exploration activities after being subjected to harassment by foreign powers.
