Saudi Warplanes Continue to Bomb Yemen in ’Holy Month of Ramadan’

The Saudi warplanes carried out new airstrikes against several areas across Yemen in the beginning days of the holy month of Ramadan, inflicting more human loss and material damage on the country on Sunday.

According to local media reports, two Saudi airstrikes hit the Saqayn district of the northwestern province of Sa’ada on Sunday. 

A Saudi-led coalition backed by the United States continues to carry out its aggression against the Yemenis and their country. 

Saudi Arabia has been attacking Yemen since March 26 - without a UN mandate. UN estimates say over 2,600, mostly civilians, have been killed and another 9,755 wounded as a result of the ongoing attacks on Yemen. 

The US-led military aggression on Yemen first began on March 26 -- without a UN mandate -- in a bid to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement, and to restore power to Yemen’s fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansoaur Hadi, who is a close ally of Saudi Arabia.
