The Public Health Office in Yemeni province of Hajjah announced that provision of medical services has stopped at Martyr Dr. Yasser Wathab Hospital in Khairan al-Mah’req district, due to the lack of hospital’s fuel supply.

According to al-Alam channel, a statement issued by the Health Office confirmed that the suspension of Wathab Hospital is a humanitarian catastrophe that exacerbates the health situation in province, pointing out that the continued detention of oil ships threatens to stop providing health services in the province’s hospitals.

The statement added that the detention of oil vessels by Saudi-led Coalition threatens lives of citizens including hundreds of thousands of children, women and patients, especially in light of the spread of Covid-19 virus.

The Health Office renewed its call to humanitarian organizations and the international community to help Yemeni people and set the Yemeni ships free.
