A child was killed on Wednesday in a Saudi air raid that targeted Sa’ada province, a security official said.

The Saudi warplanes targeted citizens’ houses in Razeh border district in Sa’ada, the official said, adding four other people were injured in the attack.

Moreover, the warplanes pounded a school in al-Salah area in Sehar district with one airstrike. The school was completely destroyed.

The fighter jets also targeted Wadi al-Jabal area in Baqem district with two air raids.

The Saudi aggression also launched 28 air raids on several areas of Sa’ada province, a security official said.

The Saudi warplanes hit al-Malil, al-Buqa’ areas in Kutaf district with 12 air raids and al-Azqol area in Sehar district with one. Nine airstrikes hit al-Majda’a, Muhaidedah, Mandabah areas in Baqem district while Kahlan area in the vicinity of Sa’ada city was struck with five raids.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 10,000 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
