Saudi Airstrikes Continue Unabated

Saudi-led coalition fighter jets launched a fresh wave of airstrikes targeting various areas across Yemen.

Air raids struck the provinces of Sana’a and Mareb.

In Sana’a, warplanes hit Al-Samaa military camp in the Arhab district with six airstrikes. Nehm district was struck with another three air raids.

One person was killed and another wounded in an air raid that targeted a bridge near the military hospital in Shouob district in the capital.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 8,300 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
