Over 180,000 Cases of Cholera Reported in Yemen

The World Health Organisation has announced a new statistic that showed the cholera epidemic has continued its deadly course in Yemen.

The new statistic indicates the death of 3,800 patients between the outbreak in October 2016 until last September. It also confirms the infection of 187,000 cases during the same period.

This year, the statistic showed a high rate of infection, as more than 92,000 cases were recorded in 2019 alone.

The governorates of ‘Amran, Al Mahwit, Sana’a, Al Bayda, Dhamar have a higher rate of the epidemic, while the provinces of Taiz, Ibb and Hodeida have the highest death rate.
