The Yemeni children resorted to holes as shelters to protect themselves from the Saudi air raids on the city of Saada in Yemen.

Meanwhile, the Saudi raids targeted the capital’s airport in Yemen on Saturday, blocking relief aids to the civilians in addition to targeting a Yemeni military post.

The Saudi warplanes also continued to strike the provinces of Saada and Lahj, causing much destruction and targeting religious shrines.

Saudi Arabia began its military aggression against Yemen on March 26 - without a UN mandate - in a bid to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and to restore power to the country’s fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, who is a close ally of Saudi Arabia.

The Saudis claim that the airstrikes only target military positions. However, reports show that civilians and infrastructure in civilian areas are being attacked. Human Rights Watch [HRW] in a recent report said evidence shows that Saudi Arabia has used cluster bombs in Yemen’s northern province of Sa’ada in recent weeks.
