In its letter to international human rights organizations, the Islamic Human Rights Commission called for the cessation of war crimes against the Yemenis and the elimination of obstacles in front of the delivery of humanitarian aid to Yemen.

The Commission confirmed in its letter the aggressors’ flagrant violation of international conventions and resolutions as it explained the disasters that the Yemeni people are facing due to the aggression.

In a like manner, the Commission clarified that this breach is considered a defilement of the non-aggression principle among countries as well as the principle of non-attack on civilians, sites and personnel with immunity under international treaties.

In addition, committing war crimes and anti-humanitarian crimes are considered as international crimes by the International Criminal Court’s internal system.

The London-based Commission pointed out that under Article 1 of the four Geneva Conventions which stipulate a legal commitment to ensuring respect for human rights, all governments are obliged to take various measures in order to halt crimes against the Yemeni people and eliminate obstacles in front of the delivery of humanitarian aid to Yemen.

Furthermore, the Islamic Human Rights Commission demanded in its letter the implementation of criminal justice against offenders and human rights violators as abiding by the legal commitment.

It also called on all national organizations worldwide to pressure their governments to act upon the legal commitment of enacting respect for human rights.

Accordingly, the letter stressed that the continuation of crimes against Yemenis is considered descent towards the Law of the jungle, ignoring and excluding international laws including human rights laws and its resolutions.

Thus, it is a deplorable and distressful situation for those concerned with human rights, justice, ethics and solidarity among human societies.
