The Chairman of Yemen’s Supreme Revolutionary Committee, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, stressed Friday that the international community should deal objectively with the Yemeni affair.

During his meeting with the French ambassador to Yemen, Christian Testot, al-Houthi expressed his surprise that the international community is still adhering to the GCC states’ initiative in Yemen, which he considered a big contradiction.

Al-Houthi noted that the international community abandoned the United Nations’ rights, laws and charters under the temptation of Saudi money.

He added that it gave way for the Saudi and Emirati regimes to attack Yemen.

He called on France to gain the Yemeni people’s confidence and to have a neutral role toward the Yemeni issue.

“The Yemeni people want freedom and independence and to maintain their homeland’s sovereignty. These are rightful demands,” al-Houthi said.

He added that the one who announced the war from one side is the one who can stop it.

The French ambassador affirmed that dialogue and not war is the real solution in Yemen, noting his country’s constant policy in talking with all parties.
