UN Security Council to Hold Closed Session on Developments in Yemen

The United Nations Security Council will hold Monday a closed session on the latest developments in Yemen, during which UN Special Envoy for Yemen Martin Griffiths will brief members of the council on the details of his comprehensive plan for peace in Yemen.

UN sources have said that Griffiths' talks in Yemeni capital Sanaa with Houthi revolutionaries over the Yemeni city of Al Hodeida have not led to any progress.

The sources pointed out that the Houthi leaders refused to withdraw from the port of Hodeida and demanded more time to study the proposal of Griffiths for peace.
