Ali Abdullah Saleh Confirms News Of His Intention To Leave Yemen To Russia

Former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Tuesday confirmed reports of arrangements for his departure from Yemen to Russia.

This came in an interview conducted by the Yemeni channel Alyoum and was read by the correspondent.

“There is an invitation from a Russian institute to attend a round table to discuss two stations, the first topic: terrorism and how to confront terrorism,” he said. “The second topic is how Yemen emerged from this crisis and from the war in Yemen.”

Saleh added that this invitation is under study and research.

Saleh did not say if he decided to travel and agree to the invitation how to overcome the dilemma of the Security Council resolution that prevents him from traveling abroad.
